Course:  HHPR 202:  Applications in Exercise Science


Based in London, England, this course provides the foundational knowledge and skills required to safely perform and instruct a variety of advanced resistance training and performance training exercise techniques. Applied experience in the form of service learning will enhance course content understanding through real world application of required skills. Emphasis will be placed on safety, cueing, adapting and progressing exercises based on participant needs. An evidence-based approach to selecting exercises will be utilized throughout the course.


Students will be live and learn at the University of East London campus where they will have access to labs, classrooms, and gym/fitness facilities.  Immerse yourself in London life via public transport such as the iconic London Underground (i.e. the Tube), double decker busses, and the Dockland's Light Railway (DLR).
